I’ve been working hard on cutie bug-spider-creature Palpi’s profile, especially after sweetie Jessi gifted me a goodie to make him into an Experiment #585. Graphics have been a struggle for me recently because I feel some of my previous profiles are just perfect (I absolutely adore Nilleum’s profile), and I want to continue that trend. I’m going through multiple versions of each profile trying to find just the right one. Palpi took 3, while Hearted was up to 6. 

Each hexagon is hand placed by me, and boy did that take hours! I should have just made it into a brush for an easier time. I really loved the idea of connecting each area together by the combs and adding in little creepying tendrils. I heavily considered using brushes but I decided not too and used a very low opacity pattern to give some extra definition to each area. The use of red glow and text I hope provides a subtle ominous feeling because Palpi does have a little bit of a dark side to him. I wanted the yellow elements to be very faint as well. 

A little back story on Palpi, he’s a wingless creature that is normally a carnivore but he’s trying to be a vegetarian. The local hive shares honey with him so that he may slather his leafy greens in it for added taste.

I just shed a tear…I was happy when you got a Porsche, especially such a gorgeous Carrera, but now…now…no. You just defaced a beautiful piece of German finery. 

There is no epic win when ruining such a beauty. Just epic fail for not leaving her alone as she is.

My brother was playing Scarlet Blade (this is  the actual game armor)  the other day and at first it was just funny how anyone would even take that seriously but then i got jealous because what the hell i want a game with a buncha skanky dudes i can check out while i play and THEN i thought of what would make that even better: food

I must reblog this because Eva is one of the most iconic animes of all time. This was the series that started me on my road, and it was facilitated by my husband many years ago. This song holds so much meaning, and just listening to the voices makes me emotional
